He also married the 18 year old Mirriam Johnson after she graduated from high school. Under her married name, Mirriam Eddy, she wrote songs for Don Gibson, Nancy Sinatra, and Dottie West. They separated then divorced in 1968 after seven years of marriage, having a daughter, Jennifer. Later that year, Mirriam moved to Arizona, met Waylon Jennings, and adopted her stage name, Jessi Colter. She married Waylon in 1969, and they remained married until his death. She became famous as the first female Country Music Outlaw. Her daughter Jennifer's son, Will Harness, performs under the name Struggle Jennings.
